We currently offer home physiotherapy services across Bracebridge, Huntsville, Gravenhurst and surrounding areas. Visits are scheduled to accommodate your schedule. Evening and weekend appointments are offered as needed.

What to expect from Muskoka Homecare Physiotherapy?  

Step 1.
Initial assessment

Our first visit with you will last 1-1.5 hours and include an initial assessment. You can expect to have a discussion with your physiotherapist, complete paperwork, and undergo a physical evaluation. Treatment will also be provided during the first visit.

Step 2.
Personalized plan

After evaluating your needs and initial assessment your physiotherapist will recommend a personalized treatment plan. This will outline the frequency and duration of subsequent visits.

Step 3.
Ongoing treatment

Subsequent treatment sessions will vary in length depending on your treatment goals and level of ability to participate. Expect each session to be half an hour to an hour in length.

Kirsten Richardson

Kirsten is a graduate of University of Toronto Physical Therapy program and has post-graduate training in acupuncture, neurological rehabilitation, and manual therapy. On top of being a registered physiotherapist, Kirsten is also a certified yoga instructor. She is very passionate about human movement.

Kelly is a graduate of McMaster University Physiotherapy program. She has experience with treating various orthopedic and chronic conditions. Kelly is passionate about helping people maintain health, mobility, and an active lifestyle. Kelly is also a pediatric physiotherapist and loves helping children achieve their developmental and mobility goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are your services covered by OHIP or other health care plans?
    Our services are not covered by OHIP but they are covered by most extended health care plans. We will provide you with a receipt to submit for reimbursement.

  • Do I need to have a doctor referral to book an appointment?
    No doctors referral is required to access physiotherapy. Some extended health plans however may require a doctor's referral for reimbursement.

  • Do I need to provide anything at each appointment?
    Clients do not need to provide anything and we can modify most exercises to fit any home setting.

  • Will I always be seen by the same therapist?
    Clients will always be seen by the same therapist. If they like, they may choose to see another therapist if their primary therapist is away/unavaliable.

  • Do you keep full records of each therapy plan?
    We keep complete health records according to the guidelines provided by the College of Physiotherapist of Ontario.

  • Do you offer clinic-based physiotherapy?
